On August 20, 2003, Becca passed away in a tragic automobile accident. Becca's dream lives on in the non-profit organization, "Becca's Closet". In 2007, Sheila Duffey, a Troup County school bus driver, heard about Becca's Closet, and decided to set up a branch of the organization in Troup County. Sheila has been collecting prom dresses for the past year and now has approximately 350 dresses and some tuxedo coats for anyone needing a dress or tuxedo for prom / homecoming / pagaent season. |
Joann Stoner, the manager of Lafayette Parkway Mini Storage donated a storage unit for the dresses and Sheila has had help from Robinson Salvage, Harold's Cleaner (a drop-off point) and Rockville Flea Market collecting dresses.
